Abstract

This research examines the concept of religious-educational heritage, a typology that has been little studied and scarcely acknowledged in the country. The case study is San Francisco Javier College in Puerto Montt, which serves as a living testament to foundational architecture in the city and is one of the few legacies of the presence of the Society of Jesus and the German immigrants' carpentry school. However, despite the material and intangible importance of the case, it lacks broader recognition that fully acknowledges its value as urban, educational, religious, and constructive heritage.
