Unplanned urban growth in Northern Lima has intensified urban heat islands, affecting thermal comfort in self-built multifamily housing. This study evaluates the performance of an indirect green façade system as a passive thermal mitigation strategy in a dwelling located in San Martín de Porres. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, combining thermal simulation in SIMEDIF 2.0 with in situ measurements using a digital thermo-hygrometer. The results show a reduction in indoor temperature of up to 2 °C in real measurements and up to 3 °C in simulations, as well as a decrease in incident solar radiation on the façade. It is concluded that the system is constructively viable and improves thermal comfort in urban self-built contexts.
