Abstract

Telecommunications industry is changing rapidly and entry barriers are low, which implies that survival in the market is a real challenge for companies. This article studies how Push and Pull systems can be integrated into the supply chain in the telecommunications sector in Colombia. A Pull and Push hybrid model is proposed using system dynamics in order to determine optimal levels and the minimum cost of inventory, as well as the optimal level of service delivery to customers. Research results shown that the behaviour of the hybrid model allows to respond both to the market and the company needs while generating inventory levels that are minimal and sufficient to meet demand.
