Resumen

Las definiciones que sobre el ser humano se han propuesto en la paleoantropología nos permiten comprender cómo se concibe qué es el ser humano. Al hacer un recuento de los principales hitos en la historia de la paleoantropología caracterizamos al ser humano por su morfología, su capacidad para generar cultura y en especial su facultad lingüística. Por lo tanto, sugerimos que nuestra especie bien puede reconocerse como Homo bioculturalis sapiens.

Abstract

The definitions on humans that have been proposed in paleo-anthropology allow us to understand how to conceive what human beings are. When we study the major facts in the history of paleo-anthropology, we see that human beings are characterized by their morphology, their ability to create culture and especially by their language faculty. Therefore, we suggest that human species may as well be recognized as Homo bioculturalis sapiens.
