La geografía romana de Estrabón

En este artículo, destacamos el énfasis que Estrabón pone en el elemento humano, comodecisivo en el estudio de la geografía, lo que convierte al sabio de Amasia en un precursor de la geografía humana. Asimismo, tratamos de encontrar los propósitos que tiene en vista el autor al acometer su obra y que explican su concepción de la ciencia geográfica, tan relacionados con la coyuntura polít ica de su tiempo y con el proceso de romanización que se verificó en las provincias durante los siglos I y II d. de C.
