Abstract

In this study we examined the conflictive political elections during the government of President Salvador Allende (1970-1973): the municipal elections of 1971 and the parliamentary elections of 1973 in Concepción. We try to establish difference in the main local speeches from officialism and opposition, in a context that wasn’t free of violent incidents, and compare those with the greatest forces ideas that were debating back then in the country.
