In this article we will examine the concept of race, particularly with regard to the black race, and its conceptual projection and therefore in its epistemological connotations and projections; this in the context of the sustained immigration process of the Haitian population to our country; We want to be an instance of reflection that allows us to differentiate the concept of race from its biological meaning, to become a social and psychocultural category that, as an ideal type, allows the understanding of the growing diversity in Chile. Thus, the concept is linked to a spirituality of negritude, which derives from a spirituality in the meaning provided by Latin American theology.
