Abstract

The Business Incubators were conceived as an economic development tool, strengthening the creation of new companies.

In Concepción these institutions present explosive growth. This increase is owed mostly to the Business Incubators that have formed under the umbrella of universities.

The present study proposes to reveal the investment of the Business Incubators in the undertaking of Concepción.

The methodology is based in a literature review, descriptive analysis and interpretation of the results obtained on Business Incubators.

The main fi nding of this research was to reveal the importance that Business Incubators have in enabling entrepreneurship environment, contributing to achieve undertaking with stable permanence in the market, while lowering the starting age to begin to undertake.
