Abstract

This study examines how universities are responding to labor-market transformations driven by artificial intelligence (AI). Through a structured literature review in Scopus and Web of Science, 38 scholarly articles and international policy documents were analyzed. The findings converge around three themes: human capital (technical, cognitive, and socio-emotional competencies), employability (labor-market entry and performance), and the triple helix (university–industry–government collaboration). The literature highlights growing demand for hybrid skill sets and ethical AI governance frameworks, while also revealing gaps in curricula and in coordination with productive sectors. Future research is encouraged on the notion of “AI Capital,” the design of continuous-learning ecosystems, and university governance models that support the strategic integration of AI across organizations.
