Resumen
En Gran Bretaña el uso de tecnología informática en educación tiene una larga trayectoria y desde sus comienzos, hace ya más de 35 años, distintas iniciativas gubernamentales han apoyado su desarrollo a través de la provisión de variado y sostenido financiamiento. Este financiamiento no sólo ha contribuido a evaluar el impacto de la aplicación de esta implementación en los establecimientos educacionales. A partir del año 1988 la informática educativa en Gran Bretaña se incorpora como un componente importante del currículo nacional (Cox, 2000).
