Castro en su territorio
Abstract
Su emplazamiento estaba dominado por sitios eriazos concentrándose las edificaciones más importantes en torno a la plaza (Iglesia, Convento, Edificios Públicos, Liceos) y en calle Lillo, centro de la actividad comercial portuaria que, encaramadas sobre palafitos ponían un pie en el mar. Las grandes casonas de Lillo de dos y tres pisos con bodegas, locales comerciales, residenciales y hoteles serían reducidas a cenizas en el gran incendio de 1936.
