Abstract

La paradoja de Talcahuano es haber recibido en su territorio comunal una importante inversión económica en grandes industrias, sin lograr transformar este impulso en progreso y en mejoramiento de la calidad de vida urbana. Lo que pudo ser beneficio no ha significado sino simple crecimiento demográfico, dispersión de su trama urbana, saturación poblacional y desequilibrio del medio ambiente.
