Abstract

Hay ciertas formas de entender y usar los espacios urbanos o arquitectónicos, que forman parte de nuestra herencia cultural. El urbanismo colonial chileno, con su trazado en damero, mantenido inalterable durante casi tres siglos, sentó las bases de nuestra forma de captar los espacios públicos. Y la arquitectura colonial chilena, aplicada sistemática e insistentemente en toda la zona centro y sur de nuestro territorio, también refrendó seculares costumbres y hábitos espaciales.
