The University of Bío-Bío is a chilean higher education institution, state-owned. There is no a study that measures the economic impact made by the University of Bío-Bío ans its different related persons in Bío-Bío Region. Therefore, using an approximation of the input-output matrix of the Bío-Bío Region for 2012, I estimate the impact that the University and the persons related to it make on the product of Bío-Bío Region. I find that the University contributes to the production of the región both directly and indirectly, totalling $483,049,705,595 for 2020, with wich I make a serie of propossals for the authorities of the University and the authorities of the education of the Region.
