The variation of shares in the oil sector in relation to the price of a barrel of oil

This work aimed to analyze the variation of stocks in the oil sector in relation to the price of a barrel of oil between the years 2017 and 2022. For this purpose, a survey was carried out using quantitative, exploratory and descriptive methods, in which an attempt was made to structure an analysis of correlation between several variables. The results of the survey revealed different correlations between stocks in the oil sector, together with the price of a barrel of oil (Brent), highlighting the fact that there is a positive correlation between the price of oil and the quotations of stocks in the oil sector.
