This paper analyzes the sustainable integration of the University of Seville in the urban layout. University activities must generate high quality spaces and environments, while preserving the architectural and cultural value of the city. The analysis of this university model with a dispersed structure developed over centuries makes it possible to critically review the advantages and disadvantages for the institution, its surroundings and the city. The availability of public spaces, accessibility, and mobility around university centers are analyzed from the point of view of sustainability in order to produce guidelines for better architectural planning in the future.
