Parque Lineal (Linear Park), located in the intermediate Colombian city of Palmira in Valle del Cauca, can be a linchpin for urban development through the integration of all factors involved in the park, which are capable of converting this public space into a strategic location in the urban area. In this sense, Parque Lineal is considered to have development potential and be a crucial cultural and environmental benchmark in the city's territorial organization and development plans. This research aims to find a set of environmental, social, economic, cultural and institutional strategies that ensure the sustainability of Parque Lineal, based on a participatory action research study.
