The Tres Puentes Wetland, located at the north entrance of Punta Arenas, is a place of great ecological value its variety of habitats and composition of species, and one of the most important of the city. However, the wetland is seriously threatened due to its location on one of the main areas of expansion of the city of Punta Arenas, on sites that have slowly increased their value as a result of state's public infraestructure or for the simple vegetative growth of the city that increases the value of the sites on its proximity. This work shows part of the conservation project "Ecological Park Tres Puentes Wetland" that follows the aim of preserving this important ecological area.
