An urban order. Landscape, quality of life and sustainability

Quality of life in regions represents a group of tasks through which societies ensure that territorial and spatial transformations provide a better existence for their inhabitants, both humans and natural processes that sustain social life in a region. Territorial planning instruments have certainly followed this general task of enhancing the quality of life of a region and its environmental sustainability. But they also should clearly state the strategies that they intend to implement in order to enhance a particular aspect of quality of life in the region at a more global scale, both human and natural.
This article discusses some possible ways to achieve these tasks and partial results in order to mov e towards a better quality of life at a regional and local scale.
