Abstract

The objective of the presented work was to reformulate the Chilean green area and area ratio constructed according to the European international standards. Study the present mechanics of determination of surface of green area in Chile and was compared with the Spanish standards, elaborating a new one formulates that it directly relates the housing density to the surface of required green area. The study showed that the results of surfaces of green area are of such spread that they require to be associated to communal and intercommoned parks. Based on the results of the study one concludes that to fulfill the surfaces required according to the housing density the new condominiums their participation in projects of urban or communal parks must contemplate to guarantee the right of green areas of the new inhabitants.
