Hualpén. De la periferia comunal a la centralidad metropolitana
Abstract
Las ciudades son el soporte de la actividad humana, motor del desarrollo económico, y escenario para el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. Al mismo tiempo, son lugares en donde se consumen grandes cantidades de energía, donde se produce más contaminación, más acumulación de residuos y una intensiva utilización del espacio. Estos desequilibrios implican a la larga un aumento de los problemas ambientales y sociales.
