Abstract

Durante muchos años, los penquistas nos hemos estado preguntando ¿hacia dónde crecerá Concepción?

Probablemente esta pregunta es antigua, tan antigua que comienza con una pregunta anterior, en el siglo XVIII, después del terremoto y maremoto de 1730, cuando por primera vez que se piensa en el traslado; y finalmente con el terremoto de mayo de 1751 que destruyó e inundó el emplazamiento original en lo que es hoy Penco: ¿y a dónde se irá Concepción?
