Abstract

The aim of the building is to provide a place for the liturgical act, whose movements constitute a vital part of the expressiveness of its performative language. Taking an exemplary study case, the church of the Benedictine monastery of Las Condes, the aim is to show the close relationship that exists between these movements and the architecture, which not only embraces them but also impregnates them with meaning, bestowing on the actions a liturgical splendour. From the building of the stage where the Christian drama takes place, thus linking itself to the theatre, it will become a choreographic architecture.
