MEXICAN OFFICIAL STANDARD ON TELEWORKING AND ITS IMPLICATIONS IN THE COMPANY

Abstract
Currently, human capital management is an important success factor in an organization, since it favors the performance of tasks with greater efficiency to achieve organizational and team goals in any company. It should not be forgotten that a company depends a lot on the skills and talents of its employees, and on how the work is organized and distributed, being this a sufficient reason to evaluate the management of human capital. This evaluation is understood as a competitive advantage and as an important differentiating element. Therefore, it should be valued as a resource that must be built and maintained through various methods, such as training or development programs, to add value to the business structure. In this sense, the Mexican Official Norm PROY-NOM-037-STPS-2023, emerges as an important framework, which specifies the safety and health conditions of the places where people perform teleworking activities. Its objective is to prevent accidents and illnesses and to promote a safe and healthy work environment, so it is of great help to avoid physical, ergonomic and psychosocial risks in telecommuting.
