This research responds to the problem of sustainable architectural design, with a search in the background and tools that support the concept of an architectural shell, with a building system inspired by bio-mimicry and organizing an architectural limit from a structure cell, as a proposal that challenges the improvement of models, is seeking balance between design and use of resources. The objective is to get an analysis of methodological background and design tools to create an architectural shell, inspired by bio-mimicry and to reduce energy consumption of a building designed for the climate of Buenos Aires, Argentina, with passive design and to respond to effects of insolation and illumination.
