Incorporation of Bulgaria and Romania into European Union, effects in the old continent and Chile

Abstract

Given the importance to Chile for being a participant of one of the largest economic blocks in the world, it's deemed necessary to analyze the incorporation of the past two countries that has joined the european bloc, Bulgaria and Romania.

Both countries were incorporated to the European Union on January 1st, 2007, having their agriculture based economies and GDP percapita under US$ 10,000 a year as points in common, being the only two countries under this line. It should be noted that the average GDP per capita of other European countries is US$ 23,000 annually.
