Abstract

The entry into force of the new Thermal Regulations in Chile, together with the mandatory Energy Rating for Housing (CEV), marks a turning point in the way buildings are designed and constructed in the country, placing Chile in a leading position in Latin America in these matters. This long-awaited regulatory update represents substantial progress not only in terms of energy efficiency, but also in areas related to health, well-being, and the quality of the built environment.
