THE BOOK OF EMOTIONAL EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS

Abstract
The book under review is the result of a joint effort between academics from the Universidad del Bío-Bío who were awarded a research project and educational centers that took on the challenge of creating educational proposals for their centers, after receiving a training course whose purpose was to offer theoretical and empirical resources for the elaboration and implementation of such proposals. The schools participating in this project were the Wessex School in Chillán, the Los Altos de Miraflores school in Coihueco and the Las Canoas school in Chillán. The name of the book is due to the fact that it offers educational proposals of emotional education developed by these educational centers. The methodology of the training course considered a theoretical synthesis guided by Bisquerra's pentagonal model, self-analysis and reflection activities created for the work sessions, as well as practical actions with Cloud9world. The reflections or conclusions that can be deduced from this book are aligned with the message of awareness and empowerment that its pages convey, as well as the relevance that collaborative work acquires for the realization of the educational action that emphasizes that when you want it, you can do it.
